Salary up to £28,600 - £31,200 DOE plus door-to-door overtime

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services, primarily reactive. Our services are delivered by over 60 franchisees across the UK. We have over thirty years of experience in drain unblocking and are known for quality service and customer satisfaction. Major companies and high street brands trust us to handle their drain maintenance needs, and we aim to uphold these high standards for all our clients.
Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, we also have Willow Pumps and Filta, which focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, these brands offer a comprehensive service for water and waste management.
What does it entail?
1. Carrying out services related to the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of drains
2. Operating High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment safely and effectively
3. Conducting surveys
4. Providing excellent customer service and technical support
5. Accurately recording work details using internal and client systems and apps
6. Communicating effectively with clients and support teams to ensure high service standards
7. Participating in an on-call rota to service clients 24/7, approximately one week in four, depending on business needs
What are we looking for?
1. Experience in high-pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying is beneficial but not essential; full training provided for the right candidate
2. Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge
3. A positive, flexible, can-do attitude
4. Desire to grow with a progressive business
5. Willingness to work some unsociable hours
6. Full UK driving license
7. Residency in Cambridge, Ely, Kings Lynn, or Bury St Edmunds areas
*Note: While experience is preferred, we are also open to considering trainees with technical hands-on experience in construction, engineering, or FM roles.
