The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of teaching and learning on core language modules in Irish, with a particular focus on spoken language, beginners/post-beginners, and specialist language strands such as Business and Legal Irish. They will be a (near) native Irish speaker, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Irish. They will contribute to the successful delivery and administration of language modules on the BA undergraduate programmes in Irish, design and engage in language-based activities to enhance the student experience, and support students' language learning at all stages of the degree. About the person: The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the essential criteria: 1. Native or near-native Irish speaker.2. Near native proficiency in spoken and written English.3. An honours-level undergraduate degree (B.A. or equivalent) in Irish or Celtic Studies.4. Experience of teaching Irish language at HE or FE level.5. Experience in delivering timely and constructive feedback to students.6. Experience using technologies such as virtual learning environments for language learners. This is a 3 year fixed term post. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
