Job Description: Technical Support Engineer

What you’ll do:
Configure and replace datacentre equipment such as Cisco and Juniper firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco and Dell server hosts while maintaining system operation.
Provide both on-site and on-call support for TPCMS, with the ability to travel throughout the UK.
Proactively monitor the availability, performance, and security of TPCMS as part of a 24x7 team.
Address TPCMS issues either by resolving them or by assigning them to internal staff or external providers for resolution.
Engage with the System Management Team to support continuous improvement for TPCMS and customer service.
Ensure all Service Level Agreement targets are exceeded.
Support the transition of the TPCMS service to other parties by aiding in development and training.
Who you are:
This role is ideal for an organized, proactive, and diligent 1st Line Support Engineer. It offers a great opportunity for growth in IT support. The role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a team environment, and is adaptable to a fast-paced, 12-hour shift rotation. Strong communication skills are essential, and a desire to develop technical skills is valued.
Key Requirements:
Vendor certifications in VMware, MS Windows System Support, Cisco LAN/WAN, Juniper, IP Trade are beneficial.
Knowledge of McAfee SIEM Security (Security Information and Event Management).
Further education in IT/ICT.
