Summary
We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team at Little Plums Day Nursery. This role is vital in supporting the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education while fostering an environment where children can thrive. Located in a nurturing and progressive setting, this position offers opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery.
* Support staff in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care.
* Foster a positive learning environment that encourages children's development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress.
* Manage staff performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings.
Skills/Qualifications:
* A full and relevant level 3 qualification or above
* DBS enhanced disclosure
* Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
* Safeguarding training and qualification
* Minimum of 3 year's post qualifying experience
* Confident in the use of MS Office Packages
Requirements
* Experience working in a nursery or early childhood education setting is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is preferred.
* A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
