•Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server database systems.
•Perform regular database upgrades, patching, migrations, and backups.
•Manage users, roles, access privileges, and security policies.
•Monitor and tune database performance (indexing, partitioning, AWR reports, traces).
•Troubleshoot slow-running queries and optimize SQL code.
•Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
•Implement and manage RMAN, Data Guard, AlwaysOn, and other HA/DR solutions.
The Role
Your responsibilities:
•Perform backup validation, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.
•Ensure database compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.
•Conduct audits, risk assessments, and security hardening.
•Work closely with application development teams to design database schemas, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
•Provide L2/L3 support for database-related incidents.
•Participate in on-call rotation for critical production environments.
•Strong experience as a DBA with Oracle and SQL Server.

•Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows Server environments.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
•Must have a valid current SC Clearance.
•Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and infrastructure teams on database related initiatives.
•Serve as the SME for database performance incidents, root cause analysis, and major production events.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
•Knowledge of cloud-based databases (Azure, AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud) is a plus.
•Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
