Offer description

Overview

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

* Support Google Data Centers (GDC) campus development in collaboration with EMEA and APAC Regional Delivery teams as the technical lead during commercial discussions of data center power utility supply.
* Serve as power utility infrastructure lead for development during the due-diligence and design stages of project development.
* Lead value engineering, feasibility studies and risk evaluations of power utility infrastructure projects that enable Google Data Centers (GDC) capacity.
* Refine and update due-diligence scope standards and serve as the subject-matter expert during execution of detailed due-diligence studies.
* Lead technical direction and strategy of utility projects during design and oversee commercial and technical direction of advanced utility projects during construction. Manage a team of Account Executives (AEs) who support the program and manage vendor scope and work products.

Minimum qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, other relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer (or equivalent).
* 5 years of experience in program or technical project management.
* Experience managing relationships and leading mission critical power infrastructure project.

Preferred qualifications

* Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
* Certification in sustainable infrastructure.
* 15 years of experience in industrial development.
* Experience working across multiple European countries, navigating business cultures and practices.
* Understanding of the intersection of utility procurement and related infrastructure capacity solutions, including a proven track-record in a cross-functional role at the interface of engineering and commercial teams.
* Ability to separately develop data-driven technical insights and translate into executable commercial solutions for the business at-large.
