Role Description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Semi-Senior Account Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) or someone with relevant practice experience looking to advance their career within a dynamic firm. You'll work closely with senior accountants and managers to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of accounting clients across a range of industries
* Serve as the main point of contact, building strong and long-term client relationships
* Oversee the delivery of accounting, tax, and compliance services to agreed deadlines
* Conduct regular client meetings to review financial performance, discuss requirements, and provide guidance
* Identify opportunities to support clients with additional services such as tax planning, advisory, or business support
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards
* Ensure client records are kept up to date and compliant with relevant accounting and tax regulations
* Monitor changes in legislation and proactively advise clients on potential impacts
Requirements
* Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience
* Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a UK-based accounting practice
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulations
* Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A team player with a client-first attitude
