The Opportunity
Were partnering with a growing, specialist engineering business operating in the heavy machinery and press machinery sector. Due to continued growth and increasing demand from UK and international customers, the business is expanding its service team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands:on Mechanical and Hydraulic Press Service Technician who enjoys varied work, frequent travel, and working on complex machinery in real:world industrial environments.
What Youll Do
Reporting to the Service Manager, youll play a key role in supporting customers with the servicing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic presses. Day:to:day, this will include:
: Servicing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and hydraulic presses across the UK
: Supporting installation and commissioning of new machinery at customer sites
: Diagnosing faults using engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics
: Working safely on:site, producing risk assessments and method statements
: Representing the company professionally during customer:facing site work
Youll also support occasional overseas assignments and play a part in developing long:term customer relationships through high:quality workmanship.

Please note: There is no company vehicle provided. Engineers are required to travel to the Dudley site to collect the work van, equipment, and personnel when required.
What Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring hands:on engineering experience in a service or maintenance environment and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Youll ideally have:
: BTEC / City and Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
: Experience using measuring equipment and basic hand tools (drilling, tapping, etc.)
: Ability to read engineering and hydraulic drawings
: A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
: High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
Basic electrical fault:finding experience is advantageous. Forklift or IPAF certification is also beneficial, though training can be provided.
Personal attributes are important:
Youll be reliable, enthusiastic, keen to learn, self:motivated, flexible, and a strong communicator. A smart, professional appearance is essential.
Additional requirements:
