Job Title: Operations HR Partner
Salary: £39,900 - £48,000 depending on experience
Location: Desford, Leicestershire – on site (5 days per week) with occasional travel to Stockton-on-Tees

Join our team in Desford to support our Building Construction Products (BCP) division across Desford and Stockton sites. As an Operations HR Partner you’ll partner with site leaders and HR colleagues to deliver impactful solutions across talent development, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
* People Management & Employee Relations: Partner with operational leaders to support their people management agenda, act as a trusted advisor on HR policies and employment legislation, and manage complex employee relations cases.
* HR Systems & Data Analysis: Oversee HR systems (e.g. Workday), ensuring data accuracy and timely approvals. Use data insights to inform senior leaders on retention, turnover and training needs.
* Strategic Workforce Planning: Lead succession planning and workforce forecasting to ensure the organisation has the right talent for future growth.
* Leadership Development & Standards: Coach leaders on people‑management processes, embed best practice across the organisation, and enable leader‑led resolution.
Essential Qualifications
* Interpersonal Relationships: Strong relationship‑building skills, collaborative approach, and proven ability to work with trade union representatives.
* Data Gathering and Reporting: Analytic proficiency, ability to spot trends, interpret findings, and produce clear reports.
* Employee Relations: Experience handling day‑to‑day employee relations matters, including grievances and policy queries, with fair and consistent approach.
* HR Policies, Standards and Procedures: Application of HR policies in practice, ensuring compliance and supporting continuous improvement.
Desirable Qualifications
* CIPD qualification or equivalent grounding in HR principles.
* Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
* Confidence using Office 365 tools, including Power Apps for process improvement.
* Experience working in unionised environments and knowledge of labour relations.
* Ability to lead projects and coordinate teams effectively.
* Exposure to a complex or fast‑paced setting.
