A leading UK recycling and waste management business is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead compliance and drive a strong safety culture across its operations. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced H&S professional from recycling, waste, or another technical/industrial environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading health & safety strategy and ensuring compliance with UK legislation and industry standards
Conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and safety/environmental audits
Developing and maintaining safe systems of work and method statements
Investigating incidents and near-misses and implementing improvements
Delivering H&S training, inductions, and toolbox talks
Liaising with regulators and overseeing COSHH, PPE, and health surveillance
Requirements:
NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma preferred)
3-5 years' experience in a H&S management role within a technical or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of H&S legislation including WEEE, RIDDOR, PUWER, and COSHH
Details:
Full-time, permanent
Monday-Friday, 07:00-17:00 (47.5 hours)
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum
