Active Learning Support Assistant – SEND Schools (Birmingham) Location: Birmingham (Primary & Secondary SEND Schools) Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications) Start Date: Immediate The School and Role ABC Teachers are recruiting Active Learning Support Assistants to work in SEND schools across Birmingham, supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH and additional learning needs. This role is suited to candidates who enjoy a hands-on, energetic approach, supporting learning through movement, play, outdoor learning and structured activity. You will support pupils in and out of the classroom, helping them remain engaged, regulated and motivated. This role particularly appeals to candidates from sports coaching, youth work, care or mentoring backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Support learning through active and practical approaches Work 1:1 and in small groups with SEND pupils Support behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement Assist with PE, outdoor learning and play-based activities Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff As an Active Learning Support Assistant with ABC Teachers, You Will Receive: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
