Mode Search is partnering with a luxury menswear business to appoint a Head of Ecommerce. This is a pivotal hire, responsible for elevating online performance, shaping the digital customer experience, and driving commercial growth across all ecommerce touchpoints.
The role is based in London, operating on a hybrid basis 3 days in London and 2 from home. The position reports directly to the COO, with close collaboration alongside the founders.
The Role
* Lead, own and optimise the full online customer experience across the brand’s Shopify platform.
* Drive growth in online sales, conversion, and overall ecommerce performance.
* Use digital channels strategically to support retail footfall and strengthen the connection between ecommerce and physical stores.
* Ensure consistent brand expression and alignment across all digital touchpoints, partnering closely with marketing, creative and retail teams.
* Manage day‑to‑day site trading, product launches, merchandising, and promotional planning.
* Analyse ecommerce data to inform decision‑making, identify opportunities, and influence trading and customer‑journey improvements.
* Collaborate with founders on creative direction to ensure the digital experience accurately reflects the brand’s luxury positioning.
* Oversee technical enhancements, UX/UI developments and the optimisation roadmap for the Shopify site.
* Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting for ecommerce activity.
Requirements
* Strong working knowledge of Shopify is essential.
* Experience within luxury is highly desirable; menswear is ideal but not required if the candidate has strong luxury credentials.
* Approximately 2–3 year(s) experience in a relevant ecommerce or digital trading role.
* Proven ability to drive online commercial performance and execute hands‑on optimisation.
* Strong understanding of digital customer behaviour, brand presentation and luxury‑level user experience.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with founders and cross‑functional teams.
* A proactive, detail‑oriented approach with a passion for luxury product and digital excellence.
