Whatyou’llbe doing:
1. Lead a full-stack feature team of software and quality engineers with a focus on predictable delivery and engineering excellence.
2. Collaborate with fellow leads, solution architects, UI/UX designers, and product owners to define roadmaps, technical designs and unblock delivery.
3. Lead by example by being a hands-on contributor to the codebase and providing oversight and feedback via pull requests.
4. Demonstrate leadership for API and microservice design with deep knowledge in your specialist domain (API/microservice/Frontend).
5. Provide line-management and personal development support for engineering team members

6. Deepexpertiseinfull‑stack engineering, with hands‑on leadership usingReacton the frontend and.NETon the backend.
7. Proven experience applyingmodern engineering practices, including automated testing, TDD, CI, pair programming, code reviews, and strong version control workflows.
8. Strong technical leadership with the ability toset engineering direction, bootstrap new projects, and guide multi‑disciplinary teams across the full development lifecycle.
9. Expertiseindesigning and evolving RESTful API contracts, ensuring scalability, consistency, and maintainability.
10. Solid understanding ofcloud‑hosted application development, modern web architectures, API integration patterns, and DevOps‑driven CI/CD pipelines.
11. AdvancedproficiencyinGit, including branching strategies, code collaboration, and managing complex change flows.
12. Strong knowledge oftesting methodologies, covering unit, UI, integration, and automated testing frameworks.
13. Solid working knowledge ofSQL, including complex queries, indexing strategies, stored procedures, and performance optimisation.
14. Experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications onWindows Server and IISenvironments.
15. Practical understanding ofIIS deployment, configuration, and environment management.
16. Ability toidentifyand introducenew technologies, tools, and best practicesto uplift engineering quality and team effectiveness.
17. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to express technical opinions clearly and the pragmatism to adapt whenappropriate.
Nice to Have:
18. StrongDevOps mindset, with exposure to tools such asJenkins, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
19. Cloud experience across major platforms — GCP preferred, with AWS or Azure also highly valued.
20. Experience of working withcontainerisation technologies, particularly Docker.
21. Hands‑on experienceimplementing and using CI/CD pipelinesto streamline delivery workflows.
22. Experienceenhancing and modernising legacy or monolithic applications, improving performance and maintainability.
23. Understanding ofmodernisation approaches, such as refactoring, modularisation, or transitioning to more modern architectures.
