Job Summary

James Farm Day Nursery are looking for some fantastic L3 Early Years practitioners to join our supportive and positive exisitng team, in which your contribution will be appreciated and valued.

If you have the following skills, we'd love to hear from you:

* be able to read stories upside down, with at least 10 interruptions per page
* have a little quirkiness - if a child requests that you be an astronaut flying a rocket full of dinosaurs - we hope you can rise to the challenge
* not be afraid to dance in the rain, make mud pies and build sandcastles in the snow
* Possess the skills needed to quickly count the heads of numerous moving small people
* Expert nose wiping skills
* be ready to feel loved, special and important by many young people and their families.
* strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children
* an enthusiastic person with a passion for bringing the best out of all children and nurturing their individual abilities
* someone who isn't fazed by a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
* Level three early years qualification with current paediatric first aid certificate
* DBS Certificate (with update service)

We are a small, rural nursery based in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire are looking for new cheerful & enthusiastic team players to start as soon as possible

We are looking for part time heroes for:

*one position available in our baby room (4 months to 2 years) working on a Monday working from 8am until 6pm - another day of your choice, could be added if required.

*second position available working with our older children from 2 years - 3 years. working a Monday and a Friday working from 8 am until 6pm

Salary

Our hourly rate is based upon experience and qualifications gained, we will discuss this further with you at the interview stage.

Skills

* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Experience working in a nursery or similar childcare setting is highly desirable.
* A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their needs.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour.
* Drive to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that inspires curiosity and creativity.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Duties

* Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children in the nursery

* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress

* Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development.

Qualifications

* Current DBS Certificate (Update service)

* Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

* Paediatric First Aid Certificate

* Experience in a nursery setting

* Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding practices

* Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work effectively as part of our friendly team

* Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and requirements

* Friendly, reliable, and flexible approach

* Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
* Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

* Driving Licence (preferred) due to rural location

Work Location: In person
