Our client, a leading public authority in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Network Coordinator - StreetWorks to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be based in Warwick for 2 days a week and will allow for remote working from home for the remaining 3 days.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinating all street works activities across the highway network
Liaising with utility companies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) standards
Monitoring and managing permits and notices, ensuring timely approvals and adherence to regulatory requirements
Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure work is carried out to required standards and within agreed timescales
Maintaining accurate records and databases of all street works activities
Providing regular updates and reports to senior management and other relevant parties
Handling enquiries and resolving any issues related to street works coordination
Ensuring the smooth operation of the highway network and minimising disruptions to the public
Job Requirements:
Experience in street works coordination or a similar role within the highways sector
Strong knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA)
Proficiency in monitoring and managing street works permits and notices
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in using relevant software and maintaining accurate records
A good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to highways and street works
