Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a Structural Engineer to join a global engineering company, in a contract position. As the successful candidate you will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working between our client’s office in London, on-site, and home. This is a great opportunity to work on a exciting commercial fit-out project, with an experienced and motivated team.
-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £45-£52 (depending on experience).
-Flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design safe, durable structures that meet regulations, using appropriate materials and CAD software for simulations.
-Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure contractor work meets structural standards.
-Prepare reports, drawings, and calculations related to loads, pressures, and stresses.
-Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals, and provide technical advice throughout the project.
-Handle planning applications and ensure compliance with building regulations.
What we are looking for:
-Must have previous experience working on refurbishment projects.
-Knowledge of Tekla structural designer is a plus!
-Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
-Strong communications skills for client facing environments.
-Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
-Proven experience in structural design.
-Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g. MIDAS, SAP2000, STAAD, Robot, etc.).
