Tired of just reacting to breakdowns? This role drops you into the heart of a major assembly site where automation, legacy upgrades, and capital projects meet live production.
This isn’t maintenance for the sake of it. You’ll be part of a skilled controls and automation team supporting a facility that assembles and exports compact construction machines to global markets. The site blends old and new legacy PLCs needing uplift, and modern production lines constantly improving through investment and innovation.
You’ll be embedded in a 7-person shift team, working closely with engineers and technicians across manufacturing, projects, and production support.
What you’ll be doing:
* Diagnosing and resolving production issues using Siemens PLC/HMI software
* Uplifting and standardising legacy Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC systems
* Supporting large-scale automation and capex projects
* Helping the site deliver uptime, efficiency and engineering standards
* Working cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and CI teams
What you’ll bring:
* Strong experience with Siemens PLCs – ideally with S7 exposure
* Confident fault-finding and diagnostics under pressure
* Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi and legacy system upgrades
* A background in manufacturing, automation, or automotive/assembly
* A mindset geared toward improvement, safety, and team collaboration
Why it stands out:
* Afternoon shifts mean a 4-day working week
* You’ll be hands-on with both day-to-day issues and long-term system improvements
* Join a site with real heritage, a strong engineering culture, and global output
Shift: Mon-Wed 16:30–02:30, Thu 16:30–02:00
Why apply?
You'll gain exposure to automation and improvement projects, work cross-functionally, and be part of a supportive team that values development and collaboration.
