Role Overview:
Custom Solar is recruiting a Business Development Manager to support the expansion of their Sales Team. The role involves identifying, developing, and securing contracts for Solar PV systems and battery storage, with project values ranging from £k to over £2 million. Key sectors include commercial, industrial, public sector, and new build commercial developments.
Responsibilities:
* Identify and convert new sales opportunities.
* Engage with corporate end users and build relationships with senior figures.
* Collaborate with internal teams to manage projects from conception to contract signature.
* Work with external partners to provide funding options.
* Develop new business opportunities for the company's O&M offering.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in selling commercial PV systems (desirable).
* Broad technical understanding of Solar PV, battery storage, and UK energy markets.
* Experience in consultative sales processes and managing tendering processes.
* Ability to generate leads, maintain relationships, and convert sales.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Energetic, self-driven, and motivated to succeed.
* Understanding of financial and funding models.
* Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
