Entry Level Dental Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified Dental Nurse who has a passion for dentistry. This role is within the Community Dental Service and will provide chairside assistance to all levels of clinician. The suitable candidate will be part of an experienced team who will offer support and mentorship to enable professional growth and development. The candidate must maintain high standards of clinical care and be committed to continual professional development. The candidate must be a qualified and registered dental nurse. The role requires the ability to travel across the district as and when required.
Main Duties
* Provide chairside and clerical assistance to all grade of clinician within the service.
* Prepare the dental surgery and surrounding environment for clinical sessions.
* Patient management – provide high quality and safe dental care to medically complex and hard to reach groups.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with the General Dental Council.
* National Certificate of the Examining Board for Dental Nurses or equivalent.
Experience
* Administrative experience: answering the telephone, booking appointments, dealing with enquiries and collecting patient charges.
* Experience of working within a Community Dental Service.
* Experience of working with vulnerable and medically complex groups.
