PDAP delivers nationally accredited, quality marked specialist domestic abuse support services across Kirklees working within a coordinated partnership response to victims of domestic abuse as part of the local area multi agency strategy to tackling domestic abuse.
PDAP is the largest specialist domestic abuse charity in Kirklees providing innovative and responsive support services to anyone affected by or escaping domestic abuse.
We are currently recruiting to our Board of Trustees, we are seeking compassionate and determined individuals who can contribute to driving the direction of our charity. The time, skills and work of our Board of Trustees is incredibly valuable to us at PDAP. Our trustees ensure that PDAP has a clear strategy, and that our work and goals are in line with our purpose, which is to: provide accommodation, support and advice to people who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse.
It is essential that we continue to have a driven committed board which is made of individuals who can reflect the diverse community we deliver services to and for.
Treasurer Role Recruitment
We are looking for a board member to take on the role of treasurer. As treasurer you would be the key officer responsible for oversight of the organisation's financial health, overseeing cash management, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure stability and legal compliance. You would act as a "financial watchdog," supporting the Finance Director and CEO with handling banking, monitoring expenditures, managing risks, and ensuring proper internal controls.
The key responsibilities of the role are inclusive of but not limited to:
· having financial oversight and planning
· overseeing the senior leaderships team relationship with banking partners
· being a signature for payments where authorisation is needed.
The ideal candidate for this role would have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and knowledge of financial regulations. It would be desirable that the candidate is a qualified accountant or has financial bookkeeping experience.
We are also looking for people who would like to learn more about the legal governance of a charity as a Board Member whilst gaining expertise on one or more aspects of PDAP to enhance the work we do and ensure our services reflect the needs of all victims of domestic abuse.
