We are looking for a Counter Assistant Manager to join our lovely Selfridges Team with a minimum of two / three years of Management experience, in the luxury industry ideally, within Fragrance, Beauty, Fashion, and Luxury Goods sectors.
As a Counter Assistant Manager, you will deliver the highest standards of customer service by following the DECIEM experience and contributing to a teamwork environment positively, pleasantly, and effectively.

This will involve the effective leadership and management of our Counter Associates' duties and professional development, the ability to control stock level, ensure merchandising is aligned with DECIEM directives, and communicate any challenges/disruptions to the Area Sales Manager.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
1. In partnership with the Counter Manager, the Counter Assistant Manager will support in the oversight of daily in-store operations and assist on the sales floor ensuring the business is profitable
2. Complete operational counter requirements by scheduling and assigning ‘zones’ to employees, while ensuring a fully staffed counter at all times.
3. Manage ongoing counter operations and inform the Counter Manager of any pertinent issues (petty cash, daily banking, POS System, payment processor, etc.). Ensure the day-to-day operations of the counter are compliant with the company's requirements
4. Coach, counsel, and provide constructive feedback to all team members guiding them in their performance journey.
5. Control stock and manage the weekly order of counter supplies
6. Greet all customers who enter the store with enthusiasm and professionalism reflecting DECIEM’s vision through excellent service. Educate customers about the world of Beauty and Skin Care, DECIEM brands and products
7. Stay up to date with product knowledge, company information, launches and campaigns
8. Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
9. Notify the Counter Manager and/or Area Sales Manager of any customer complaints and comments (handle any in-person customer complaints)
10. Enforce store policies and procedures are up to company standards and direction
11. Assist in hosting store events in conjunction with merchandising and corporate retail teams for customer appreciation events to drive traffic
12. Maintain DECIEM’s visual merchandising standards according to the official merchandising guidelines (including displays, testers, cleanliness, etc.)
13. Assist in the recruitment, management, mentor, and development and staff to maximize sales, and profitability and exceed agreed key performance indicators
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
14. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
15. Strong communication and leadership skills to coach and mentor employees to success
16. Events organizational skills/background "Nice" to have <3
17. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
