What you NEED...
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
Significant experience in mechanical design within a complex engineering or scientific environment
Proven experience leading and developing engineering design teams
Strong CAD capability (Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX or similar)
Experience overseeing full design lifecycle through to installation and commissioning
Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, schedules and resources
Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

Role & Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for Engineering Design and ICT activities across multiple UK sites
Allocate design resource across concurrent projects and define realistic programme timelines
Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering design through installation, commissioning and training
Develop and implement engineering design methodologies, tools and continuous improvement initiatives
Conduct regular buildability reviews in collaboration with production teams
Ensure compliance with all relevant design, safety and ICT standards
Provide technical leadership, line management and mentoring to the engineering team
Support business development activity with technical input, cost estimates and programme advice
Contribute to senior management reporting and strategic planning
