Purpose
To ensure accurate and timely booking of deliveries, supply of materials to production, and proper control of finished goods. The Senior Warehouse Operator will also oversee stock accuracy and smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements
* Complete all relevant training and maintain up-to-date certifications, including use of initials within a cGMP environment.
* Maintain all documentation related to Nelson's products within the Quality Management System (QMS) and adhere to Data Integrity standards (see POL-002).
* Understand and comply with cGMP environment requirements.
* Promptly receive goods, book them into the WMS, barcode label materials, handle damages, and communicate effectively with Purchasing, Quality Control, and Production.
* Manage and transport finished goods according to SOPs to preserve product integrity.
* Conduct UK and Export dispatches following SOPs.
* Prepare SRP packs in accordance with relevant SOPs.
* Protect incoming products from damage, contamination, and deterioration during storage and handling.
* Book third-party contract deliveries, ensuring correct transfer via purchase orders and works orders.
* Return goods to suppliers with proper documentation, updating SAP accordingly.
* Locate materials accurately in stock, ensuring correct quantities in SAP.
* Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely.
* Pick and record materials for production schedules, ensuring timeliness.
* Verify and return production materials correctly, investigating discrepancies immediately.
* Perform stock checks as per the perpetual cycle count system, documenting and investigating discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate records and complete daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
* Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including routine cleaning of racking and stored products.
* Work safely, adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
* Follow GMP and GDP standards at all times.
* Report concerns regarding products, equipment, or incidents promptly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Load vehicles with finished goods for delivery to customers, distributors, or third-party warehouses.
* Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
* Manage warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor during holidays or sickness.
Education and Experience
Essential:
* English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
* Experience working in a warehouse environment.
* Valid forklift, reach, and counterbalance licenses.
* Knowledge of GMP and GDP.
* Experience with inventory control systems like WMS or ERP.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Understanding of HSE standards.
* Flexible, confident, and self-motivated with good communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize, work accurately, and pay attention to detail.
* Team player capable of working independently.
