What’s the role? As Meeting and Event Manager, you will be responsible for the effective execution and customer service from preparation to guest departure for all food and beverage for weddings, conferences and events. As a Manager within the business, you will also be able to support all areas of Food and Beverage across the Resort. What are the key responsibilities? Management of all F&B Assistants including performance management issues Staff scheduling including training and rotas To meet and greet all guests and ensure that staff know of their responsibilities for the event. To ensure that rooms and tables are prepared and laid out as per the specifications from the client. Effective client and staff communication Requisitioning of all related equipment in line with the business, appropriate for each individual event. To be the main point of contact on the day of the event. Acting as Master of Ceremonies as and when required. Close communication with all team and associated departments. To liaise closely with the Sales Office to ensure you have an accurate understanding of all special and social events. To liaise closely with the kitchen to ensure that all foods are completed as specified. Ensuring you are up to date in all relevant client/internal communication procedures and documents. To attend weekly function sheet meetings to discuss forthcoming events. Ensure all events run with a seamless transition, from contract through to co-ordination and the event itself. To forecast and budget accordingly to ensure that costs are within budget. To proactively do show rounds and to communicate and pass the information on the sales team. Ensure the customer requirements are passed to the relevant departments, meeting the needs of both internal and external customers. Undertake Banqueting Management and Lobby Hosting Duty. Plan and co-ordinate all clients’ requests resulting in successful event planning and adhering to the policies as laid down in the Events Office.
