SAP Integration Developer/Specialist - Birmingham - Permanent
Hybrid working - 1-2 Days per week onsite
Salary - Up to £75,000
Position Overview
We are seeking an Integration Developer based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will focus on designing, developing, and supporting integrations between SAP and various enterprise applications. This role requires strong expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI) to ensure seamless data exchange across business systems. Collaboration with functional teams, architects, and external vendors is essential.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
1. Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), focused on designing and maintaining SAP-based integrations.
2. Provide technical expertise for SAP S/4HANA and cloud integration scenarios, including hybrid environments.
3. Monitor and maintain end-to-end integration performance, ensuring high availability and minimal disruptions.
4. Support the migration of legacy interfaces to modern integration platforms, optimizing efficiency and security.
5. Work with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), including message transformation, routing, and API management.
6. Proficient in SAP IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, and SOAP/REST APIs for SAP integrations.
7. Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems, such as MQ and JMS.
8. Develop, test, and troubleshoot IIB message flows, APIs, and transformations.
9. Design, develop, and support integrations between SAP and third-party applications using SAP CPI and IIB middleware.
10. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex integration and data flow issues.
11. Knowledge of monitoring tools and error handling mechanisms for middleware and SAP layers.
12. Understanding of security best practices, including OAuth, SAML, encryption, and authentication in integration scenarios.
13. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects.
14. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, developers, and business users.
15. Experience with SAP system upgrades, patches, and testing methodologies.
