We are seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Technician with a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.
You can expect to work in a positive and vibrant environment where your efforts will be recognized. Skills shortages can be addressed through upskilling, but the right attitude and desire to provide excellent service are essential.
Your responsibilities will include inspecting a diverse fleet, including HGVs, municipal/council vehicles, gritters, dust carts/refuse collection vehicles, sweepers, and more.
Work may involve:
* Routine and preventative maintenance
* MOT preparation
* Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
* Regular inspections
* Correction of running defects
* Chassis and fabrication work
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Vehicle standard improvements
* Electrical and wiring inspections and repairs
Ideally, candidates will be fully qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent). Additional certifications such as IRTEC and a HGV Class 1 license are desirable.
