What are we looking for?
We seek a volunteer who can support us in creating monthly management accounts (essential), preparing budgets for the year including forecasting, assisting with grant applications, preparing quarterly board reports, planning for different financial scenarios, and costing charitable activities. The ideal candidate has good communication and organizational skills, understands the resource constraints of a small charity, and has relevant charity experience with recognized training qualifications such as ACA or ACCA.
What will you be doing?
As a finance volunteer, you will support our financial operations, gaining valuable experience in charity finance while contributing to a meaningful cause. Our small charity has an income of around £140,000 from donations and grants. We currently have a part-time bookkeeper and volunteer finance director and are seeking support with tasks such as creating monthly management accounts, budgeting, grant preparation, quarterly reporting, scenario planning, and activity costing.
