MPW is one of the UK’s leading names in fifth and sixth‑form education. Established in 1973, our colleges in London, Birmingham and Cambridge offer a distinctive alternative to traditional schools, with bespoke solutions for A level and GCSE students.
International students form an integral part of the student body within our colleges and MPW is therefore looking to appoint a new International Student Recruitment Manager. This position is based out of the London Head Office in South Kensington and candidates must therefore have existing right to work in the UK. The successful candidate will be designated a geographical region for which they will be responsible, but wider International Team support outside of this region will also be required. This is a full‑time position and overseas travel will be required as part of the role.
Working as a key member of the MPW international recruitment team, the postholder will:
* Work closely with the Director of Recruitment ROW and Global Director to develop market focused strategies for the specified market
* Plan a range of student recruitment activities to deliver and exceed student number targets.
* Execute visits to recruit students for the MPW schools. Visits will incorporate agent training, school visits and recruitment fairs where appropriate.
* Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new MPW agents, supporting them with marketing materials, training sessions, student seminars and other activities.
* Develop marketing plans beyond visits/trips to support agent engagement, direct student recruitment and wider branding with key influencers (schools, embassies, British Council etc).
* Assist in the development of marketing materials, website and social media content and manage social media channels as required.
* Interview students and make decisions, in the context of the admissions criteria agreed with the MPW Principals.
* Maintain accurate records of interviews and meetings with agents, parents and other stakeholders, including covering for colleagues if they are absent/travelling. Collate all associated documentation on the Salesforce CRM record.
* Undertake conversion activity of potential students and parents through discussion and education advice, developing best practice with colleagues and utilising the Salesforce CRM system to record activity and improve communications.
* Develop a portfolio of international contacts (agents, schools, influential family members) through ongoing contact with international students once they have commenced their studies in the UK.
* Manage the admissions process for students in the region, including liaising with agents and/or parents over required documentation, deposits, registration fees, CAS, academic programmes.
* Utilise our Summer School and short‑term Study Abroad programmes as a method of upselling long‑term enrolments.
* Assist the Directors of Studies/Principals in resolving issues that involve parental or agent contact, such as debt collection, school reports or disciplinary matters.
* Be available for August recruitment interviewing and, when in the UK, support with any international student interviews as required in college.
* Be fully conversant with UKVI sponsorship and compliance. To support MPW Principals/Authorising Officers in maintaining UKVI compliance.
* Work with colleagues in developing market intelligence resources, agent information and contracts.
