A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Brake Press Operative to join the existing team of a Manufacturer based at Lee Mill Industrial Estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC brake press machines according to job specifications and SOPs.
Follow correct manual handling procedures to lift sheet metal into CNC machinery.
Select appropriate tooling and perform necessary machine adjustments for each job.
Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
Perform basic routine maintenance checks on machines and tools.
Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with company Health and Safety standards.
Accurately record production data and report any issues or inconsistencies.
Effectively collaborate with all team members to ensure production goals are met.
Essential Experience and Candidate Attributes Required:
Demonstrated recent experience as a CNC Operator working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Experience following correct manual handling procedures to lift heavy sheet metal.
Ability to follow SOPs and read basic engineering drawings.
Proficient in using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometres.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 05:45 to 14:15. Please note, our client does not have a Skilled Worker Sponsorship licence therefore only candidates with the immediate right to work in the UK will be considered. Due to the location and hours of work access to own transport is essential.
