Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Gas Storage

MC Technical Recruitment are recruiting for an Instrumentation Technician to work at one of the largest underground gas storage facilities in the UK. This site provides strategic gas storage services that contribute to balancing gas supply and demand within the national gas transmission system. The Instrument Technician will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive maintenance work on the sites instrumentation and electrical systems ensure maximum plant availability and minimum downtime.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities will include:
1. Fault finding, repair work and planned and unplanned maintenance on all instrumentation systems and electrical assets to maximise plant availability. This includes pressure, level, temperature and flow sensors, control systems and some electrical equipment such as motors and variable speed drives
2. Carrying out equipment isolations to permit requirements to ensure plant is safe to perform maintenance on
