Job Description MLC Partners are recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer on a 10-month fixed term contract. This role is supporting a large charitable organisation, based in Southwest London (Surrey), hybrid 2days/week in the office.
As the SFO, you will provide accurate and timely management of financial data, account reconciliations, and process improvements. You’ll also support financial reporting, support budgeting and compliance activities.
Support senior management with the preparations of annual financial statements
Ownership and reconciliation of prepayments, accruals and payroll control accounts
Accounting for monthly payroll and assist with the preparation of quarterly VAT return
Preparation and maintenance of regular cash balance reporting
Essential criteria:
Qualified (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or QBE and working towards their studies
Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliation and support on annual accounts and audit cycle
An ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends and prepare reports for senior management
Bonus if you’ve worked within the NFP sector, and have knowledge of restricted funding
