The role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact systems engineering across a major long-term nuclear programme.
Day-to-day, you’llbe required to:
1. Lead and direct systems engineering activities across complex programmes
2. Allocate tasks and overseeing delivery from a team of systems engineers
3. Mentor and support junior engineers to grow capability across the team
4. Deliver hands-on systems engineering including requirements, architecture, and integration
5. Lead and contribute to technical and design reviews with key stakeholders
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week at either our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire site. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer:
6. Demonstrating strong systems engineering experience across requirements engineering, system architecture, integration, verification and validation
7. Leading or mentoring engineers within engineering teams
8. Working on complex, multidisciplinary engineering programmes
9. Reviewing technical outputs and leading engineering or design reviews
10. Applying full lifecycle systems engineering expertise
Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer:
11. Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
12. Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (desirable)
