Overview
The Vet Centre is a two-site practice seeking a energetic, compassionate, and hard-working Registered Veterinary Nurse to join on a 12 month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for general nursing duties, including nurse clinics, anaesthesia, and patient care. Responsibilities
* Carry out general nursing duties including nurse clinics, anaesthesia, and patient care.
* Provide support in a busy practice with a varied caseload.
* Work alongside vets and receptionists, and contribute to delivering exceptional clinical care.
* Engage in training opportunities as the practice collaborates with the college of animal welfare and supports nurses to become clinical coaches for students.
* Contribute to the team as part of a 40-hour per week schedule on a 12 month fixed-term contract.
Working pattern
* Full-time 40 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 days.
* Shift patterns between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm.
* 1:5 Saturday rota from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm with time off in lieu.
* No out-of-hours work included.
Practice details
The practice operates from two sites: the main site at Maids Moreton, Buckingham, and a branch at Cherry Lane Garden Centre, Potterspury, Towcester. It is a well-equipped, RCVS-accredited practice performing cardiac scans, endoscopy, laparoscopic spays, and dental x-rays.
