Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager/Director to join our team. This is a newly created position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a strong sales culture within the hotel. The Director of Sales will manage both local and national accounts, driving revenue growth and ensuring the hotel's continued success. Reporting to the General Manager, and Hotel Director.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
Establish and nurture relationships with local and national clients.
Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the hotel's client base.
Motivate the team to achieve individual and team goals.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
Prepare and present regular sales reports to the management team.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Represent the hotel at industry events and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a sales management role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of sales principles and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Working knowledge of hotel PMS, Guestline suite would be an advantage.
