Are you an Estimator with a background in estimating timber, steel or LGSF projects?
This organisation operates within the construction and manufacturing sector, supporting the delivery of a variety of structural building projects. The Estimator role focuses on producing accurate cost assessments that inform commercial decisions and ensure well x2011;prepared tender submissions. We are particularly interested in speaking with estimators who have experience in structural steel, timber frame or LGSF. This position would suit someone who enjoys analytical work, collaborating with clients and colleagues, and contributing to a smooth transition from tender through to design. The role offers opportunities to broaden technical knowledge, work across multiple project types and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quantify project costs across technical and site:related elements for loadbearing steel schemes
* Produce accurate estimations using internal commercial preliminary take x2011;off tools
* Review client documentation to ensure all required information is available for quotation
* Provide clients with clear details of key plans and layout information
* Advise on cost implications or variations due to design changes
* Liaise with clients and colleagues to identify value engineering opportunities
* Manage commercial queries and support a comprehensive sales handover process
* Collaborate with purchasing and sales to maintain up x2011;to x2011;date cost information and improve handover quality
Experience Required:
* Minimum 2 years experience in estimating timber frame, structural steel or LGSF
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
* Strong organisational and time x2011;management skills
* Effective communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong analytical and problem x2011;solving ability
* Understanding of manufacturing processes
* Ability to liaise confidently with customers and internal teams
