ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This important role is the public face of the Security Team. A professional attitude and a can-do approach are essential. You will ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always maintained for the client and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Interact with visitors/tenants within the shopping centre, providing first-class customer-focused service.
2. Carry out regular patrols of the shopping centre as per site instructions, proactively ensuring safety.
3. Assist visitors proactively wherever opportunities arise.
4. Maintain a safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors and tenants.
5. Manage incidents according to site policies and procedures.
6. Liaise with the control room, reacting to incidents and supporting colleagues.
7. Report unsecure areas immediately and take action to resolve issues.
8. Record non-conformances and emergencies with the control room.
9. Handle emergencies efficiently, keeping the Centre team informed.
10. Monitor human behaviour, suspect individuals, and report incidents in line with policies.
11. Manage unauthorised access by banned individuals.
12. Adhere to radio procedures at all times.
13. Record events and incidents accurately in the Security Officer notebook.
14. Perform any other duties as required to meet business needs.
15. Respond promptly to security issues and complete all training requirements.
16. Be available to cover additional shifts if needed.
17. Collaborate closely with the Environmental Services team to work as one.
