Milk Education is proud to be working with a new independent preparatory school opening in September 2026, recruiting teachers for its founding team. The school will provide a high-quality education for children aged 3–7, combining strong academic foundations with a nurturing, child-focused approach.
This is an exciting opportunity for passionate teachers who want to be part of something new and help shape a calm, ambitious learning environment from the outset.
The Role
Teachers will play a key role in establishing the ethos and day-to-day life of the school. Responsibilities will include:
1. Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
2. Creating a calm, purposeful, and supportive classroom environment
3. Supporting pupils’ academic, emotional, social, and physical development
4. Encouraging curiosity, confidence, independence, and strong language skills
5. Assessing and tracking progress accurately and thoughtfully
6. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency
7. Maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and professionalism
The school is also interested in specialist teachers to lead areas such as Art, English, Science, Physical Education, and Classical Languages, working closely within a whole-school curriculum.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
8. PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYT)
9. A relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
10. A secure understanding of child development and effective teaching practice
Desirable
11. Experience teaching in Early Years or Key Stage 1
12. Experience or interest in independent or preparatory education
13. A subject specialism suitable for early years or lower prep pupils
