Here at Long-term Teachers, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant that will work on a 1:1 basis. You will be working closely with other professionals to provide specialised and personalised support for young people. Your day-to-day tasks will be very individualised to the young person you are working with. You may be assisting with mobility, positioning and the use of specialised equipment as needed. You will also assist the young people with their education and personal care. We are looking for a professional that is empathetic, patient and excellent at communicating with others. You must be able to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team and welcome the opportunity to develop professionally. Relevant training and support will be provided. Previous experience, although beneficial, is not essential for this role. Work in care or as a support worker provides an excellent foundation to transition into this rewarding role. This will be a full time position working Monday to Friday, term time only.
