An opportunity has arisen to join our Franklin Ward as a Band 5 Staff Nurse. Franklin Ward is a 28-bedded ward with a mix of acute elderly patients (some with dementia) and a small number of haematology patients.
We have an established team that is motivated and enthusiastic about advancing elderly care. Exciting opportunities are available for motivated individuals interested in caring for elderly and haematology patients.
You will be part of a dynamic team providing high-quality nursing care. You will need excellent communication skills, competent clinical skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in ward activities as an effective team member, supporting the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse and Sister, and taking delegated leadership responsibilities.
2. Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care programmes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
3. Teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, acting as a role model for junior staff.
4. Take responsibility and accountability for a group of patients.
