Shift Pattern: Afternoon Shift 13:00-22:00 dependant on volumes.
Reports to: Shift Manager
Salary: £ - £ + Bonus and Benefits

Are you ready to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced logistics environment? We’re looking for a Depot Shift Supervisor to take charge of our afternoon operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently into the night.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Afternoon Shift Supervisor, you’ll be the heartbeat of the depot during the day-to-evening transition. You’ll lead a team of Warehouse Operatives (PROs and Loaders), ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high standards in safety, compliance, and service.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Team Leadership & Planning: Organising rotas, managing holidays, and ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
2. Operational Excellence: Driving productivity, managing CPU forecasts, and supporting transport operations when needed.
3. Quality & Compliance: Ensuring 5S and Blue Book standards are upheld, and all safety and security procedures are followed.
4. Performance Monitoring: Reporting on shift progress, managing mis-sorts and damages, and ensuring scanning compliance.
5. Training & Development: Coaching your team to work safely and efficiently, and ensuring all SSOWs and risk assessments are understood.
6. Health & Safety: Monitoring standards, managing audits, and ensuring a secure working environment.
7. People Management: Supporting recruitment, onboarding, absence management, and employee development.
What You’ll Bring
8. Strong operational knowledge and experience in a supervisory role.
9. Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Confident in managing people and resolving issues effectively.
11. Good understanding of transport regulations (desirable).
12. PC literate with solid reporting and data analysis skills.
13. IOSH qualification (desirable).
