Job Overview
* Protect customers' property, people and assets by providing security services in direct accordance with Assignment Instructions and any subsequent changes.
* Deliver results that meet or exceed key performance indicators/service level agreements, ensuring full responsibility and accountability.
* Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
Operations
* Be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements, UK law, and guidance bodies.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within Assignment Instructions.
* Proactively review Assignment Instructions, familiarise yourself with changes, and suggest amendments to improve service levels.
* Maintain required industry and statutory licences, including front‑line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision), CCTV PSS SIA licence, and renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
* Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
* Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work systematically, methodically, and orderly.
Training
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
* Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development, as directed by the Security Account Manager.
* Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
* Renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
* Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
* Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment to take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative, involving others immediately if a situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with customers.
* Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry after any incident, to be used as part of the incident report process.
* Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slots as stipulated in Assignment Instructions.
* Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
Qualifications
* Previous security experience.
* Valid SIA licence.
* SC clearance.
