Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday on a rota shift pattern between 07:00 to 17:00

Job Purpose Summary:
The main purpose of this role is to provide cost-effective maintenance solutions daily, aiming for maximum vehicle availability, quality, and cost reductions.
Job Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Experience as a Service Advisor or Workshop Manager.
* Identify costs and labor for repairs, ensuring efficient cost management.
* Resolve vehicle repair and maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime and improve VOR performance.
* Understand fleet management challenges, including maintenance scheduling, repair times, and supplier interactions.
* Anticipate and address potential issues proactively using industry knowledge.
* Collaborate with the Technical Maintenance Controller to deliver cost-effective maintenance within budgets and KPIs.
* Coordinate with the Technical Maintenance Control Team to ensure job completion.
* Escalate jobs beyond authority limits to the Technical Maintenance Controller.
* Ensure maintenance is carried out to standards by reviewing history and warranty information, challenging all work for cost and quality.
* Monitor and report on customer VORs to proactively manage downtime.
* Check vehicle contracts for collection/delivery entitlements.
* Manage recharges, gather necessary evidence, and liaise with customers for approval.
* Challenge costs in line with RDA agreements.
* Control VOCs and maintain maintenance spend within budgets.
* Assist Coordinators/Supplier Advisors as needed.
* Verify vehicle history for warranty claims when authorizing repairs.
* Source parts to aid repairs and reduce downtime.
* Resolve supplier issues per guidelines, maintaining good relationships.
* Liaise with Regional Engineering Managers for unresolved issues.
* Manage maintenance trends like warranty and component failure.
* Flag credits within the Fleet Management System for supplier/manufacturer failures.
* Proactively manage vehicle downtime to meet KPIs.
* Accurately allocate costs for rechargeable work and inform customers with full documentation.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Negotiation and communication skills across all levels.
* IT proficiency, including report creation in Tableau or Excel.
* Ability to work independently and see tasks through to completion.
* Flexible attitude and problem-solving skills.
* Confident interaction with customers and suppliers.
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of repair times and parts costs.
* Experience in fleet management or automotive roles involving vehicles and third-party suppliers.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Audatex and body shop repair processes.
