We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support our engineering operations and drive performance across the site. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in coordinating daily maintenance activities and ensuring the site operates at peak performance. You’ll support and lead technicians, help drive down downtime, and be part of a callout rota (1 week in every 4) to provide vital out-of-hours support. Key Responsibilities Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in planning and coordinating the maintenance team’s daily tasks Provide effective and timely support to production, including during callouts Operate all tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively Champion safe working practices and contribute to achieving a zero-accident environment Ensure maintenance documentation is completed accurately and signed off as needed Apply sound engineering practices to maximise equipment efficiency Respond quickly to breakdowns, working to minimise downtime and improve reliability Conduct and follow risk assessments before undertaking maintenance tasks Prioritise maintenance activities and complete them within required timeframes Contribute to the achievement of site KPIs and departmental goals What We’re Looking For Experience in a similar maintenance role within a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment Core electrical qualifications and 5 years of hands-on experience Strong mechanical understanding and ability Practical experience with PLC systems and process control Excellent communication, prioritisation, and time management skills Proactive problem solver with high attention to detail Adaptable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team Competent in using Excel, Word, and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Full UK driving licence required What We Offer Competitive salary Enhanced holiday entitlement Company sick pay Life insurance Health cash plans Family-friendly policies EV/ULEV car scheme Cycle to work scheme
