Patient Dining Assistant – Healthcare Location: Hereford County Hospital Hours: 25 hours per week (Monday - Friday 13:30-19:00) Pay: £12.92 per hour As a Patient Dining Assistant at Sodexo, you will play an important role in supporting patients’ well being by delivering a high-quality food and beverage service across ward areas. Your friendly approach and attention to detail will help create a positive mealtime experience for patients during their stay.This is a rewarding role where your daily interactions can make a real difference to patient comfort and satisfaction. What You’ll Do Serve meals and beverages to patients in a timely and professional manner Ensure all food is handled, stored and served in line with food safety and hygiene standards Assist with meal set-up and clear-down, including collecting trays and washing up Maintain cleanliness of ward kitchens, dining areas and equipment Record food temperatures and complete required safety checks Support stock rotation, labelling and storage of food items Work closely with colleagues and ward staff to ensure a smooth dining service Follow all health, safety and infection control procedure What You Bring A caring, friendly and patient-focused attitude Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards Willingness to learn and follow procedures Reliability and a strong work ethic Basic literacy and ability to follow instructions What We Offer Full training and protective uniform.
