About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cryogenic Technician to join the world-renowned Power Electronics, Machines and Control Institute (PEMC) at the University of Nottingham, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies for power generation, marine, aerospace, and automotive applications. You will be involved in commissioning and supporting a new cryogenic test facility and delivering pioneering research programmes.

About You
You will be competent in mechanical systems installations having completed a mechanical apprenticeship and gained experience in a relevant role. You will be a motivated and self-directing person with good communication and team working skills. The ability to work within relevant regulations and safety procedures is essential. A good understanding of hydrogen safety and knowledge of both cryogenic and hydrogen systems is highly desirable as is prior experience of mechanical and electrical test stand and operations.
