The School of Health Sciences at Queen Margaret University invites applications for a Lecturer in Dietetics. You will join a lively and committed team delivering and growing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Dietetics, with opportunities to contribute to programmes across the Division, School and University.
Overview
Division: Dietetics, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Radiography
Hours: 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE). Salary: Grade 8: £44,746 - £56,535 pro rata per annum (with progression to £63,606 per annum possible). Open Contract: Teaching and Scholarship/Teaching and Research (to be confirmed at appointment). Ref: CVDT01489A. Responsibilities
* Contribute to delivery and development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Dietetics, and, where relevant, across the Division, School and University.
* Participate in teaching, learning, and assessment activities, including student assessments and facilitating learning in practice-based or higher education settings.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop opportunities for multi-professional and interdisciplinary learning, teaching and research.
Qualifications
* HCPC registration as a Dietitian.
* Post-registration postgraduate degree in an area relevant to Dietetics.
* Broad experience as a Dietitian within the UK, with direct patient care at a specialist level.
* Experience with long-term conditions in either acute or community settings (advantageous).
* Recent experience in student assessments and teaching in podiatric practice-based learning or in a Higher Education context.
