PR Manager
Contracted to our Peterborough office with flexibility for hybrid working.
Salary: £36,000 – £40,000 depending on experience, full time 37.5 hours per week.
As part of an energetic and vibrant team driven to improve the lives of people living with kidney disease, your role will focus on expanding media reach for Kidney Research UK.
Responsibilities
You’ll lead our press office and storytelling function, shaping and delivering coverage that raises the charity’s profile and highlights the reality, urgency and impact of kidney disease on patients and their families.
Youll serve as the first point of contact in the press office, spotting news stories and building lasting relationships with journalists.
You’ll also oversee our storytelling function, ensuring patient and supporter stories are handled with care and the necessary consent, safeguarding and data processes are in place.
Working closely with fundraising, policy, research teams and colleagues in marketing and communication, you’ll ensure PR plays a central role in our strategic priorities and campaigns.
Qualifications
Strong track record in press or media relations.
Excellent writing skills.
Judgement to operate confidently and at pace.
Ability to spot a news story and credibility to build lasting relationships with journalists.
