LEAD WELLBEING MENTOR / DEPUTY DSL Permanent 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday Working 41 weeks per year (term time and training days plus additional 2 weeks) Scale I (Points 17 – 20): £29.658.70 – £32,002.95 per year, pay award pending (£32,654 FTE – £35,235 FTE) with possible progression to scale J Required from September 2025 'This school is a truly special place. As a National Teaching School, we have played a significant role in initial teacher training and continuous professional development across the region. The school is both a Teaching School Hub, and Language Hub Lead School, and this enables us to offer all staff varied and interesting opportunities to enhance their practice. We are looking to appoint a Lead Wellbeing Mentor and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead with excellent organisational and inter-personal skills to support and enhance students’ emotional wellbeing and mental and physical health on individual and wider level. The successful candidate will support students with a range of pastoral issues, act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and liaise with external agencies and an internal structure of Tutors, Heads of House and Heads of Year and other stake holders to enhance the physical and mental welfare and wellbeing of students.
