Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting various financial processes. Duties
* Manage and process purchase invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable, maintaining up-to-date records in the accounting system.
* Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports by providing necessary data and analysis as required.
* Collaborate with other departments, including human resources, to ensure seamless communication regarding financial matters.
* Utilise accounting software such as Sage and Xero to manage financial data effectively.
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Skills
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is essential.
* Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data and generate insights.
* Familiarity with accounts payable processes and human resources functions is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
