Our construction client are seeking an experienced Senior Planner ideally with Water experience to join their major project team in Cambridge.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Primavera P6 and other planning software, capable of managing complex programmes and supporting the successful delivery of key infrastructure and water-related projects. Previous major project experience working under NEC will be an advantage.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop, maintain, and monitor project programmes in Primavera P6 across all project phases (design, procurement, construction, and commissioning)\nIntegrate subcontractor and supplier programmes into the master schedule\nProvide detailed progress reports and critical path analysis to project stakeholders\nIdentify potential schedule risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation strategies\nLiaise with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure planning aligns with delivery goals\nSupport bid teams with tender programmes and planning input as needed\nLead planning reviews and contribute to project performance analysis and forecasting\nApply planned and actual resources to the programme.\nProgrammes are clearly communicated to all users in a way that suits them and that highlights the constraints and resources\nProvide the link between the planning and delivery teams initiating the short-term programme and assisting the delivery team with its development\nIdentify areas of developing programme risk with the planning and project team. \n\nSkills/experience/qualifications \n\nProven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within the water or wider utilities/infrastructure sector\nExpert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential\nFamiliarity with other planning and scheduling software such as MS Project, or Asta Powerproject is advantageous\nStrong understanding of NEC contracts and project controls\nExcellent analytical and communication skills\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team\nDegree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred\nEligible to work in the UK \n\nBenefits\n\nSalary open to discussion - permanent preferred but client open to contract\nWorking on a major project in the Water sector in AMP8\nSome flexibility will be offered with hybrid working - discussed at interview\nContinuous professional development and career progression opportunities
